NEW FRAMES

I bought an impressive frame for added realism from this web page from Spain http://www.hispapanels.com/tienda/en/ , have incredible finishes and excellent detail.

In this page you will find all the components for the Glareshield, Pedestal and Overhead. Wether you are looking for individual parts or preassembled kits, you will find everything you need for your cockpit here.

SCREEN

To simulate the EFIS use a pc screen (without its plastic frame), these screens are in the position of the CAP (Captain), FO (First Officer) and DU (Upper Display Unit).
Care must be taken when removing the plastic frames of the screens, because they can cut some cables that are essential for the proper functioning of LCDs.

TEMPLATE

Using a template, scale 1: 1, of the B737 cockpit, I perform all marks to proceed to cut all holes of the MIP.
This work takes a lot of time, because the cut holes should be very diligent.

I think it is an excellent reference for the cuts.
I know, this seems more furniture than a cockpit LOL

CONSTRUCTION

To build the MIP I use MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), 15 mm thickness.
This wood is very versatile, with excellent finishes and is usually used for furniture construction.

PLANNING

Searching on Internet I found a reference plane to build the B737 cockpit, which will help me get an idea of how to build the MIP (Main Instrument Panel), here are some pictures.

WHY I DECIDED TO BUILD THE CABIN

Since childhood, I always felt fascination with aviation and any machine capable of flying.
I started to fly in Flight Simulator (FS) from its version of 1998 and later version, if it is true, it is a bit like the reality, so I felt the need to go a little further.

The Boeing 737NG is one of my favorite aircraft, has an excellent avionics, great performances and has kept in time as one of the best aircraft for the transport of passengers.
